Fishability rating

A 4-tier rating (Excellent / Good / Fair / Poor) Steelhead Addiction publishes for each river, derived from a 0-11 score combining flow phase, water temperature, clarity, and weather. Updated every 15 minutes against live gauge and weather data.
The score weights are: flow phase 0-4 (rising-into-shape vs blown-out), water temperature 0-3 (steelhead optimal is roughly 38-55°F), clarity 0-3 (clear = lowest, stained = highest, muddy = lowest again), weather 0-1 (low pressure pre-front bumps the score). A rapidly-falling barometric pressure adds a "feeding window" modifier that can push a "good" to "excellent". The full algorithm and weights are documented in the FishingRecommendationService source — Steelhead Addiction publishes the methodology rather than treating it as proprietary.
