Returns & Refunds
SteelHead Addiction is an editorial and recommendation site, not a retailer. Here's exactly how returns work when you buy a product through one of our links.

Where your purchase actually happened
When you click a product link on SteelHead Addiction and complete a purchase, the transaction is processed by the retailer (most commonly Amazon.com, but also Booking.com and other partner merchants depending on the product or service). The receipt, order number, payment, shipping, and customer service for that transaction are all handled by the retailer — not by us.
That means returns and refunds are governed entirely by the retailer's policy, not by SteelHead Addiction. We have no ability to look up your order, issue refunds, or process returns on your behalf.
For Amazon orders
The vast majority of products linked on this site are fulfilled through Amazon. Amazon's standard return window is 30 days from delivery for most items, with some categories (apparel, certain electronics) offering extended windows. To start a return:
- Sign in to your Amazon account.
- Go to Your Orders.
- Find the order and click Return or replace items.
- Follow Amazon's prompts. Most returns ship free with a printable label or QR code accepted at UPS, Whole Foods, or Kohl's drop-off points.
Refunds typically post to your original payment method within 3–5 business days of Amazon receiving the return. Full details on Amazon's return policy: Amazon.com Returns & Refunds.
For lodging bookings
If you book a hotel or vacation rental through one of our destination articles, the booking is processed by Booking.com. Cancellation, modification, and refund terms are set by the property and displayed at the time of booking. Manage existing bookings at Booking.com.
If something is wrong with our recommendation
While we can't process refunds, we do want to know when something we recommended doesn't measure up. If a product we featured arrived defective, was misrepresented, or simply isn't what we said it would be, please tell us. Reader feedback is how we keep our recommendations honest. We routinely re-rank or remove products based on real angler experience.
Direct sales (none currently)
SteelHead Addiction does not currently sell physical merchandise directly. If we add a direct-sales storefront in the future (e.g., site merchandise or digital downloads), this page will be updated with a separate refund policy specific to those sales.
